Boo! A white, cartoon ghost making a silly face. Its tongue is stuck out and arms are outstretched, as if trying to scare someone in a friendly way. Several platforms feature one larger, bulging eye, while others show the ghost winking.

Resembles a classic ghost costume for <a href="/halloween/">Halloween</a>. May also be used to convey something or someone is fun or goofy. Thanks to its raised arms, some use this&nbsp;emoji as a way of expressing an excited&nbsp;Yay!

May also be used to refer to the slang term &quot;ghosting&quot;, where a&nbsp;personal relationship is ended&nbsp;suddenly without explanation by one person withdrawing from all communication with another.

Ghost

A classic smiley, turned upside down. Implemented as a flipped version of&nbsp;<a href="/slightly-smiling-face/">🙂 Slightly Smiling Face</a>&nbsp;on most platforms.

Commonly used to convey&nbsp;irony, sarcasm, joking, or a sense of goofiness or silliness.&nbsp;Its intent can be&nbsp;similar to the bemused Oh well! of <a href="/person-shrugging/">🤷&nbsp;Person Shrugging</a> or the shruggie emoticon, &macr;\_(ツ)_/&macr;.

Microsoft&#39;s design <a href="/microsoft/windows-10-anniversary-update/upside-down-face/">previously featured</a> a full-toothed grin.

Upside-Down Face

A yellow face with raised eyebrows, <a href="/heavy-dollar-sign/">dollar signs</a> for eyes, and an open smile sticking out a tongue styled after a green, <a href="/dollar-banknote/">dollar banknote</a>. Some platforms depict the dollar-sign eyes in green circles.

Used for a wide range of content dealing with money, including: making money, loving wealth, being or feeling rich, and concepts of success and excellence (e.g.,&nbsp;on the&nbsp;money).

Money-Mouth Face

A yellow face with its head tilted, its tongue hanging out of a big grin, and wide eyes in a wild, cockeyed expression. Generally used to express silliness.

Commonly represents acting goofy, having fun, and partying and is&nbsp;usually used&nbsp;in a positive manner. May be used in reference to someone or something that is off-kilter.

A yellow face with a sly, smug, mischievous, or suggestive facial expression. It features a half-smile, raised eyebrows, and eyes looking to the side. Often used to convey flirtation or sexual innuendo.

This emoji set was the last revision from au which featured designs unique to the company. Available as early as 2003, this set was in common use from 2005&mdash;2012 on au devices.
