๐ Carp Streamer
Emoji Meaning
Japanese koinobori, decorative, carp-shaped windsocks flown in celebration of Children’s Day on May 5 in Japan. Generally depicted as a blue and red stylized carp fish on a golden pole.
When not applied to Children’s Day, used for various idiosyncratic purposes. SoftBank’s design resembles more traditional koinobori.
Carp Streamer was approved as part of Unicode 6.0 in 2010 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
