Zweites Mondviertel

A waxing gibbous moon (appearing more than half full and getting larger), the fourth of the eight phases of the moon. Depicts the moon as a cratered disc, mostly illuminated in gold or silver, but with its left side a dark crescent.

May be used to represent the moon more generally, nighttime, outer space, and astronomy. May also be used to convey enchanting or eerie feelings.

Not to be confused with 🌖 Waning Gibbous Moon, though their applications may overlap. Used as part of the Moon Emoji Creep meme.

Samsung’s design once resembled a full moon with stars and previously displayed as a waning gibbous moon in a night sky with stars.

Zweites Mondviertel wurde als Teil von Unicode 6.0 in 2010 genehmigt und zu Emoji 1.0 in 2015 hinzugefügt.
