A dark-colored, hardcover&nbsp;notebook, as used to write or take notes in school. Commonly used for various content concerning writing and schooling.

Initially installed&nbsp;<a href="https://www.nttdocomo.co.jp/service/docomo_mail/appli/deco/pictograph/index.html">on carrier handsets running&nbsp;Android 4.3 and 4.4</a>&nbsp;and later discontinued&nbsp;and replaced with <a href="/google/">standard Google emoji designs</a> on&nbsp;phones from NTT Docomo in Japan.

An updated version of the NTT Docomo emoji set <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20070108235809/http://www.nttdocomo.co.jp:80/binary/pdf/service/imode/mail/imode_mail/emoji_convert/pictogram.pdf">first in use in 2006</a>&nbsp;and remaining in use <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20080920215707/http://www.nttdocomo.co.jp:80/binary/pdf/service/mail/imode_mail/function/emoji_convert/pictogram.pdf">until at least 2008</a>.
