Tropical Fish

A blowfish (<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetraodontidae">puffer</a>), which puffs up and becomes spiky when alarmed. Depicted as an orange or brown blowfish in full profile facing left, with small fins, a white underside, and a round, spiky body, as if inflated.

Called <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fugu">fugu</a> in Japan, where it&rsquo;s consumed as a delicacy.

Barber Pole

A whale, the massive marine mammal. Generally depicted as a light-blue whale in full profile facing left, with its tail curving down towards is huge mouth. Shown with a white, textured underside, as a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humpback_whale">humpback</a> or&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_whale">blue whale</a>.

A dolphin, a sleek marine mammal known to be social and intelligent. An updated version of the NTT Docomo emoji set <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20070108235809/http://www.nttdocomo.co.jp:80/binary/pdf/service/imode/mail/imode_mail/emoji_convert/pictogram.pdf">first in use in 2006</a>&nbsp;and remaining in use <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20080920215707/http://www.nttdocomo.co.jp:80/binary/pdf/service/mail/imode_mail/function/emoji_convert/pictogram.pdf">until at least 2008</a>.
