Satellite Antenna

A dish antenna, as used to send or receive information to or from a communication satellite—or 👽 Extraterrestrial Life. Generally depicted as a mounted, metal dish with its antenna positioned at 45° to the upper right.

Commonly used to represent satellite television, radio, and internet, as well as broadcasting, streaming, cellular, and wireless services or technologies. May also represent various concepts of signals and transmission.

Several platforms, including Microsoft and Twitter, feature curved, radiating lines, as if transmitting data.

Satellite Antenna was approved as part of Unicode 6.0 in 2010 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
