May be used to represent beaches, tropical climates and cultures, summer fun, and vacations (holidays). Vendors&nbsp;implement a similar tree in their <a href="/desert-island/">🏝️ Desert Island</a>.

Microsoft&rsquo;s palm tree bears <a href="/coconut/">coconuts</a>, as Samsung&rsquo;s <a href="/samsung/experience-9.0/palm-tree/">previously</a> did. <a href="/apple/ios-9.1/palm-tree/">Apple&rsquo;s</a> palm tree previously had more erect palms.

Halal (حلال&lrm; meaning&nbsp;permissible)&nbsp;refers to what is permissible or lawful in traditional Islamic law. It is frequently applied to permissible food and drinks.

A halal&nbsp;emoji does not exist, but the characters required to display Halal&nbsp;in&nbsp;Arabic are supported on all modern computing platforms and&nbsp;can be copied and pasted for use when an Arabic keyboard is not available. This is the closest approximation of&nbsp;a halal emoji.
