✉️ Envelope

The back of an envelope, as used to send a letter or card in the mail (post). Generally depicted in white, though Google’s design is yellow. Used for various content concerning mail and messages, including email.

Samsung’s design previously featured a red, wax seal imprinted with the initial M.

Envelope was approved as part of Unicode 1.1 in 1993 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
