The Unicode Consortium approved the following characters as part of <a href="http://www.unicode.org/versions/Unicode7.0.0/">Unicode 7.0</a>, released on June 16, 2014.&nbsp;Support for these emoji characters rely on updates from platform vendors such as Apple, Google and Microsoft.

Initially, 250&nbsp;new characters in Unicode 7.0 were approved for emoji presentation, however this was later reduced to 103 Standard Additions which are listed below. The other characters remain part of Unicode, but are not recommended&nbsp;to be included as emojis.

The exception to this was the <a href="/es/bocadillo-de-di%C3%A1logo-por-la-izquierda/" title="🗨 Left Speech Bubble">Left Speech Bubble</a>, and as such wasn&#39;t initially specified on other platforms as an emoji. A later-accepted&nbsp;<a href="http://blog.emojipedia.org/diverse-spy-proposal/">proposal</a> updated this.

Select LG devices use their own emoji images which are different to those used on other Android devices.

Prior to 2016 all LG devices carried LG&rsquo;s own emoji designs. However, LG phones sold from 2017 between and early 2021 used the <a href="/es/google/">stock Android emoji set</a> from Google.

This changed in early 2021 with the rollout of Android 11 to <a href="/es/lg/velvet/">LG Velvet devices</a>, reviving and expanding the LG emoji set to include support for up to 2019&#39;s <a href="/es/emoji-12.0/">Emoji 12.0</a> recommendations.

Note:&nbsp;<a href="/es/whatsapp/">WhatsApp</a>, <a href="/es/twitter/">Twitter</a>, and <a href="/es/facebook/">Facebook</a> have their&nbsp;own emoji designs&nbsp;which are used&nbsp;instead of Google or LG emojis in their respective apps on Android devices.

LG Emoji List [Updated: September 2021]

From early 2021, Android 11 began rollout out for LG Velvet devices in select regions.

Alongside Android 11 came the first update LG&#39;s emoji set <a href="/es/lg/g5/">since early 2016</a>, which reintroduced the vendor&rsquo;s own emoji set to eligible devices. From 2017 until this update, LG devices used the <a href="/es/google/">stock Android emoji set</a> from Google.

This update introduced emojis from 2016&#39;s <a href="/es/people/">Emoji 3.0</a>&nbsp;up to 2019&rsquo;s <a href="/es/emoji-12.0/">Emoji 12.0</a> to the LG emoji set. It also revised many emoji designs within the <a href="/es/people/">😃 Smileys &amp; People</a> category.
