The last update to SoftBank&#39;s emoji set was released in 2014 and discontinued in 2016. This release added 277 new characters

A minor update to this set removed regional indicators in 2016, but otherwise delivered no new changes.

2014

The letter&nbsp;V, which can be used as part of a regional indicator pair&nbsp;to create <a href="/ko/flags/">emoji flags</a> for various countries.

Previously this emoji incorrectly&nbsp;<a href="/ko/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/regional-indicator-symbol-letter-v/" title="🇻 Regional Indicator Symbol Let­ter V on Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (revised)">depicted&nbsp;the letter U</a>&nbsp;when displayed in isolation on Samsung devices.&nbsp;This was corrected in <a href="/ko/samsung/one-ui-2.0/regional-indicator-symbol-letter-u/">January 2020</a>.

Regional Indicator Symbol Letter V

Created in December 1997, this update made minor changes to the original <a href="/ko/softbank/1997/">1997 SoftBank emoji set</a>. Not&nbsp;documented to have been in use until 1998.

Note: Each&nbsp;emoji has been mapped to its modern Unicode codepoint, despite this set existing prior to Unicode emoji standardization.
