Beginning its rollout for Android devices on 2025-01-21, WhatsApp 2.25.1.75 debuted support for 2024's Emoji 16.0 recommendations on Android devices.

A similarly timed update for WhatsApp's desktop application introduced support for the same new emojis.

This update also changed the Martinique flag emoji.
