May be used to show a hand pushing something away or to represent rejection of something in general. May also be used with with 🫸 Rightwards Pushing Hand to show hands high fiving or holding, pressing, or squishing something.

Leftwards Pushing Hand was approved as part of Unicode 15.0 in 2022 and added to Emoji 15.0 in 2022.

🚩 Approved in September 2022 as part of Emoji 15.0. Now available via iOS 16.4, Android 13, Samsung One UI 5.0, and Facebook. Expected to come to other platforms throughout 2023.
