A new moon, the first of the eight <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_phase">phases of the moon</a>. Depicts the moon as a full, bluish- or grayish-black, cratered disc, not illuminated by the sun.

May be used to represent the moon more generally, nighttime, outer space, and&nbsp;astronomy. May also be used to convey enchanting or eerie feelings.

Google&rsquo;s new moon was <a href="/google/android-7.0/new-moon/">previously</a>&nbsp;a gray circle with a yellow outline. <a href="/samsung/experience-9.0/new-moon/">Samsung&rsquo;s</a> design once resembled a full moon with stars and <a href="/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/new-moon/">previously</a> displayed as a new moon in a night sky with stars.

The sun, the star at the center of our solar system. Generally depicted as a golden-yellow disc radiating eight triangular rays, representing the sun&rsquo;s heat and light.

The face of a&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon">dragon</a>, a mythical creature resembling a giant reptile found in the folklore of many cultures. Depicted as a green, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_dragon">Chinese-styled dragon</a> looking straight ahead or facing left. Often shown with huge nostrils, baring large teeth and a red tongue, with antler-like structures on its head, whisker-like tendrils by its nostrils, and a green or yellow mane.

Note:&nbsp;<a href="/whatsapp/">WhatsApp</a>, <a href="/twitter/">Twitter</a>, and <a href="/facebook/">Facebook</a> have their&nbsp;own emoji designs&nbsp;which are used&nbsp;instead of Google or LG emojis in their respective apps on Android devices.

LG Emoji List [Updated: September 2021]

From early 2021, Android 11 began rollout out for LG Velvet devices in select regions.

Alongside Android 11 came the first update LG&#39;s emoji set <a href="/lg/g5/">since early 2016</a>, which reintroduced the vendor&rsquo;s own emoji set to eligible devices. From 2017 until this update, LG devices used the <a href="/google/">stock Android emoji set</a> from Google.

This update introduced emojis from 2016&#39;s <a href="/people/">Emoji 3.0</a>&nbsp;up to 2019&rsquo;s <a href="/emoji-12.0/">Emoji 12.0</a> to the LG emoji set. It also revised many emoji designs within the <a href="/people/">😃 Smileys &amp; People</a> category.
