Emoji Meaning

A baked dish with a pastry crust, filled with sweet or savory ingredients. Appearance widely varies by platform. Apple depicts a whole pie in a tin, its crimped crust scored to let out steam. Google shows a slice of pumpkin pie as served at Thanksgiving, WhatsApp and Twitter a slice of cherry pie.

Pie was approved as part of Unicode 10.0 in 2017 and added to Emoji 5.0 in 2017.
