Commonly used for content concerning various types of gaming; occasionaly applied to aviation and aircraft.

Google&#39;s base was <a href="/pt/google/android-8.0/joystick/">previously</a>&nbsp;blue, and&nbsp;Microsoft <a href="/pt/microsoft/windows-10/joystick/">previously featured</a> a more modern design.

Telefone Celular

A <a href="/pt/telefone-celular/">mobile phone</a> (cell phone) with a <a href="/pt/seta-para-a-direita/">rightward&nbsp;arrow</a> pointed at it from the left. Intended to indicate an incoming call or message, but used to represent mobile phones, technology, and communication more generally.

Arrow color varies, but is often blue. Vendors implement the same design as <a href="/pt/telefone-celular/">📱 Mobile Phone</a>.

Telefone Celular Com Seta

A classic telephone, as a landline home phone. Most platforms depict a red, push-button phone with the <a href="/pt/telefone/">handset</a> on the base.&nbsp;Some platforms feature&nbsp;designs with&nbsp;rotary dials.

Used for various content concerning literal and figurative phone calling. Also used as an icon before a phone number.

Telefone No Gancho

The handset of a traditional&nbsp;<a href="/pt/telefone-no-gancho/" title="☎ Black Telephone">telephone</a>, with speaker and microphone. Generally depicted in black at a 45&deg; angle.

Like <a href="/pt/telefone-no-gancho/">☎️&nbsp;Telephone</a>, used for various content concerning literal and figurative phone-calling. Also used as an icon before a phone number.

Microsoft&rsquo;s design is red.

Telefone

A <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pager">pager</a>, as worn on the waist to alert a person to a phone call&nbsp;or short text message. Popular in the 1980&ndash;90s before <a href="/pt/telefone-celular/">mobile phones</a>, though still used by some medical and emergency personnel. Very occasionally used to represent alerts, digital communication, or nostalgia for old technology.

Pager

A <a href="/pt/computador-de-mesa/">computer</a> printer, as at a home office. Generally depicted as a grayish device with a power button and paper loaded in its tray, sometimes printing out a document. May be used for various content concerning printing, including as a Print icon,&nbsp;as well as for office work and technology more generally.

Not to be confused with <a href="/pt/fax/">📠 Fax Machine</a>.

Impressora

A <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MiniDisc">minidisc</a>, depicted as a small, silver or gold <a href="/pt/cd/">optical disc</a> housed in a square cartridge, its shutter positioned to the right.

<a href="http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013/02/sony-announces-the-end-of-the-minidisc/">Discontinued</a> as an audio and data storage format in 2013 due to the success of CD and MP3 technology, though the emoji is commonly used to represent CDs, DVDs, and related film and music content, especially albums.

Samsung&rsquo;s design <a href="/pt/samsung/experience-9.0/minidisc/">previously featured</a> a silver disc labeled MD, for minidisc. <a href="/pt/au-kddi/type-a-2/minidisc/">Early designs</a> from au by KDDI showed an angled <a href="/pt/disquete/">💾 Floppy Disk</a>, perhaps as being inserted or ejected into a computer drive.

Minidisc

A <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3.5_floppy">3.5-inch floppy disk</a>, a data storage format popular in the 1980&ndash;90s but largely preserved as a Save icon in computer programs. Shown with its silver shutter positioned up and in a black housing with&nbsp;a white label, accented with blue or red.

Occasionally used for various content concerning computers, including nostalgia for old technology, as well as to represent electronic saving.

Disquete

A classic camera, shown with its flash going off, as to illuminate a darker scene. Vendors implement the same design as <a href="/pt/c%C3%A2mera/">📷 Camera</a> with a burst of light, often&nbsp;resembling <a href="/pt/colis%C3%A3o/">💥 Collision</a>.

Commonly used for various content concerning photography as well as an icon for a picture, as before an upload, link, or credit.

The front page of a newspaper, as people once read the news before the internet. Commonly used for various content concerning news, media, and journalism as well as personal news.

Most platforms depict a nondescript masthead, images, and columns of text. Apple&rsquo;s newspaper is called The Apple Times, featuring a logo based on its&nbsp;<a href="/pt/%C3%A1guia/">🦅 Eagle</a> and a picture of its <a href="/pt/vulc%C3%A3o/">🌋 Volcano</a>. Facebook&rsquo;s is called Daily Feed, with a headline &ldquo;El Capitan&rdquo; and picture of that famous <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Capitan">rock formation in Yosemite National Park</a>. WhatsApp&rsquo;s paper reads Daily News with a picture of a <a href="/pt/mapa-m%C3%BAndi/">map</a>.
