A yellow face with a slight&nbsp;smile or open mouth&nbsp;shown winking, usually its left eye. May signal&nbsp;a joke, flirtation, hidden meaning, or general positivity. Tone varies, including playful, affectionate, suggestive, or ironic.

A yellow face with smiling eyes and a broad, closed smile with its&nbsp;tongue sticking out of one corner, as if licking its lips in appetite or contentment. Widely used to convey that a food item is delicious. May also express that a person is attractive.

Commonly represents acting goofy, having fun, and partying and is&nbsp;usually used&nbsp;in a positive manner. May be used in reference to someone or something that is off-kilter.

<a href="/microsoft/windows-10-fall-creators-update/zany-face/">Microsoft</a>, and <a href="/whatsapp/2.17/zany-face/">WhatsApp</a>&nbsp;previously displayed&nbsp;a full-toothed grin instead of an open mouth with a protruding&nbsp;tongue, which appeared less silly and more menacing. <a href="/google/android-8.0/zany-face/">Google&#39;s</a> design used to show the mouth in a grimace, which also read as more disturbing than silly.

Grinning Face with One Large and One Small Eye

A yellow face with scrunched, X-shaped eyes and a big grin, sticking out its <a href="/tongue/">tongue</a>. Often conveys a sense of fun, excitement, playfulness, hilarity, and happiness, as if saying Squee! or Awesome!

A yellow face with raised eyebrows, currency symbols for eyes (usually&nbsp;<a href="/heavy-dollar-sign/">dollar signs</a>), and an open smile sticking out a tongue (usually colored green with a <a href="/heavy-dollar-sign/">dollar sign</a>, echoing a&nbsp;<a href="/dollar-banknote/">dollar banknote</a>).

Facebook&#39;s design shows this emoji&#39;s&nbsp;<a href="/heavy-dollar-sign/">dollar sign</a>&nbsp;eyes over a gray <a href="/coin">coin </a>shape, while&nbsp;Huawei&#39;s emoji design has <a href="/yen-banknote">yen-shaped</a> eyes instead of&nbsp;<a href="/heavy-dollar-sign/">dollar signs</a>.

Used for a wide range of content dealing with money, including making money, loving wealth, being or feeling rich, and concepts of success and excellence (e.g.,&nbsp;on the&nbsp;money).

Money-Mouth Face

Boo! A white, cartoon ghost making a silly face. Its tongue is stuck out and arms are outstretched, as if trying to scare someone in a friendly way. Several platforms feature one larger, bulging eye, while others show the ghost winking.

Resembles a classic ghost costume for <a href="/halloween/">Halloween</a>. May also be used to convey something or someone is fun or goofy. Thanks to its raised arms, some use this&nbsp;emoji as a way of expressing an excited&nbsp;Yay!

May also be used to refer to the slang term &quot;ghosting&quot;, where a&nbsp;personal relationship is ended&nbsp;suddenly without explanation by one person withdrawing from all communication with another.

Samsung&#39;s design <a href="/samsung/touchwiz-7.0/ghost/">previously depicted</a> this as a smiley in a ghost costume.

This emoji predates the inclusion of emojis within <a href="/the-unicode-consortium">Unicode</a>. It was first added to early Japanese emoji keyboards by <a href="/softbank">Softbank</a>&nbsp;in <a href="/softbank/1999/ghost">1999</a>.

Samsung devices use <a href="https://news.samsung.com/global/samsungs-emoji-suite-makes-for-a-more-emotional-digital-world">their own emoji designs</a>&nbsp;which are different to those used on other <a href="/google/">Android devices</a>. These&nbsp;glossy emojis&nbsp;appear on devices such as the Samsung Galaxy and Galaxy Note series and are updated as part of the Samsung One UI interface layer (previously Samsung Experience, before that Samsung TouchWiz)&nbsp;which runs on top of Android.

Note that Samsung users may see select emojis display as their <a href="/google/">Google</a>&nbsp;set design. This is due to <a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/faster-emoji-updates-on-the-way-for-android-apps/">Android AppCompat</a>, which will display a Google emoji design within an app or web platform&nbsp;when a Samsung device has not yet been updated to support that particular emoji.

Samsung Emoji List — Emojis for Samsung Galaxy, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy Z Fold [Updated 2024]

First released in July 2024 for Samsung&#39;s Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 devices, the&nbsp;One UI 6.1.1&nbsp;began its broader rollout in early September 2024.

This update revised the designs of every&nbsp;<a href="/flags">🎌 Flag</a> emoji and various emojis from the&nbsp;<a href="/objects">💡 Objects</a> and&nbsp;<a href="/symbols">💕 Symbols</a>&nbsp;categories.

One UI 6.1.1

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices on 28 March 2024, Samsung&#39;s One UI 6.1&nbsp;revised a considerable number of previously available emoji designs.

Many emojis had subtle modifications made to their outline, contrast, and shading, including the majority of&nbsp;<a href="/people">🧑 People</a> emojis. Meanwhile, many emojis within&nbsp;the&nbsp;<a href="/travel-places">🚀 Travel &amp; Places</a> and&nbsp;<a href="/objects">💡 Objects</a> categories were given more extensive redesigns.&nbsp;

One UI 6.1

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices on 30&nbsp;October 2023, Samsung&#39;s One UI 6.0&nbsp;featured a completely new design style for the majority of the vendor&#39;s emojis.

All smiley, food, and animal emoji designs have been revised in this update, as have the majority of the people emojis.

This is the most significant revision of the vendor&#39;s emoji set since&nbsp;February 2018&#39;s&nbsp;<a href="https://emojipedia.org/samsung/experience-9.0">Experience 9.0</a> update, which introduced a significant number of design revisions that were consistent with those used on other platforms.

This update also introduced support for the 2023 <a href="https://emojipedia.org/emoji-15.1">Emoji 15.1</a> recommendation list.

One UI 6.0

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices from October 2022, Samsung&#39;s One UI 5.0 provided support for both&nbsp;2021&#39;s <a href="/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a> and 2022&#39;s <a href="https://emojipedia.org/emoji-15.0/">Emoji 15.0</a>&nbsp;recommendations.

Prior to the release of One UI 5.0, many Samsung users may have seen support for <a href="/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a>&nbsp;emojis provided via <a href="/google/">Google&#39;s emoji design set</a>. This was due to Google&#39;s expansion of&nbsp;<a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/faster-emoji-updates-on-the-way-for-android-apps/">Android AppCompat</a>&nbsp;in 2021.

A select number of users also reported seeing <a href="/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a>&nbsp;designs in Samsung&#39;s emoji font when updating to One UI 4.1.1 in September 2022.

One UI 5.0

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices from&nbsp;mid-January 2022, this small emoji updated changed the design of Samsung&#39;s&nbsp;<a href="/sparkles/">✨ Sparkles</a> emoji to be more consistent&nbsp;with those of other emoji vendors.

Additional devices received this emoji update alongside Samsung&#39;s&nbsp;One UI 4.1 update, which was made widely available in March 2022 after initially debuting with the Galaxy S22 series of devices a month earlier.

Beginning its rollout on&nbsp;2021-11-15 for Samsung&#39;s Galaxy S21 series of mobile devices,&nbsp;Samsung One UI 4.0&nbsp;added support for <a href="/emoji-13.1/">Emoji 13.1</a>.

One UI 4.0

Beginning its rollout in late July 2021 to select Samsung&rsquo;s Galaxy Z devices, One UI 3.1.1 updated a small number of existing emoji designs.

Select devices running Samsung One UI 3.1 were also given this emoji update&nbsp;via a firmware update in August 2021.
