Apple, Google, Facebook, and WhatsApp serve&nbsp;theirs neat, while other platforms include <a href="/ice/">ice</a> (&quot;on the rocks&quot;).

Samsung&#39;s glass <a href="/samsung/experience-9.0/tumbler-glass/">previously</a> featured&nbsp;the faint initials&nbsp;ONI,&nbsp;<a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/samsungs-biggest-ever-emoji-update/">an apparent in-company easter egg</a>.

Tumbler Glass

The unique, feathery ice crystal of a snowflake. Depicted as a bluish-white snowflake with six&nbsp;intricate&nbsp;symmetrical branches.

Like <a href="/cloud-with-snow/">🌨️ Cloud With Snow</a>, may be used as a weather icon to represent a snowstorm or a cold, snowy day. May also be used for various content concerning wintertime, <a href="/snow-capped-mountain/">cold climates</a>, and winter activity, such as <a href="/skis/">skiing</a>.

Sometimes used as an insult to call a person&nbsp;weak and&nbsp;oversensitive.

Snowflake

A classic snowman, as <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frosty_the_Snowman">Frosty the Snowman</a>, with <a href="/snowflake/">snowflakes</a> falling on it.&nbsp;Depicted as a snowman, facing forward, made from two or three large snowballs and stick arms, dressed with a <a href="/top-hat/">top hat</a>, a <a href="/carrot/">carrot</a> nose, coal eyes, and two or three buttons on its torso. Sometimes shown with a smile and a red <a href="/scarf/">scarf</a>.

Often used for various content concerning <a href="/winter/" title="⛄ Winter">winter</a> fun and <a href="/christmas/">Christmastime</a>.

Vendors implement the same figure for their <a href="/snowman-without-snow/" title=" ⛄ Snowman Without Snow">⛄ Snowman Without Snow</a>, which does not have snowflakes.

Google&rsquo;s snowman previously&nbsp;wore&nbsp;green <a href="/gloves/">gloves</a>, while&nbsp;<a href="/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/snowman/">Samsung&#39;s</a>&nbsp;design previously lacked a hat.

This snowman predates Unicode emoji support, which explains why it may display as the&nbsp;black-and-white <a href="/glossary/#white">outline</a> of a snowman.

Snowman

A hockey stick and puck, used in the sport of ice hockey. Not to be confused with the <a href="/field-hockey/" title="🏑 Field Hockey Stick And Ball">field hockey stick and ball</a>.

In the sport of figure skating, a white ice skate is traditionally worn by women, and a black ice skate worn by men. This emoji doesn&#39;t define the color to be used, but no major vendor currently displays this as black.

A sunset-orange-colored tropical beverage in a stemmed glass, as a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punch_(drink)#Rum_punches">rum punch</a> or <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mai_Tai">mai tai</a>. Served with a straw and fruit garnish. Many platforms include a cocktail umbrella, hence&nbsp;<a href="https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UmbrellaDrink">umbrella drink</a>.&nbsp;<a href="/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/tropical-drink/">Samsung previously featured&nbsp;</a>an electric-blue concoction. Samsung devices use <a href="https://news.samsung.com/global/samsungs-emoji-suite-makes-for-a-more-emotional-digital-world">their own emoji designs</a>&nbsp;which are different to those used on other <a href="/google/">Android devices</a>. These&nbsp;glossy emojis&nbsp;appear on devices such as the Samsung Galaxy and Galaxy Note series and are updated as part of the Samsung One UI interface layer (previously Samsung Experience, before that Samsung TouchWiz)&nbsp;which runs on top of Android.

Note that Samsung users may see select emojis display as their <a href="/google/">Google</a>&nbsp;set design. This is due to <a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/faster-emoji-updates-on-the-way-for-android-apps/">Android AppCompat</a>, which will display a Google emoji design within an app or web platform&nbsp;when a Samsung device has not yet been updated to support that particular emoji.

Since the introduction of Samsung&#39;s emoji set in <a href="/samsung/touchwiz-2.0">2014</a>, various Unicode characters that have not been recommended to have emoji presentation have nevertheless been given a colorful emoji design on Samsung platforms. Samsung Emoji List — Emojis for Samsung Galaxy and Galaxy Note [Updated 2023]

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices on 28 March 2024, Samsung&#39;s One UI 6.1&nbsp;revised a considerable number of previously available emoji designs.

Many emojis had subtle modifications made to their outline, contrast, and shading, including the majority of&nbsp;<a href="/people">🧑 People</a> emojis. Meanwhile, many emojis within&nbsp;the&nbsp;<a href="/travel-places">🚀 Travel &amp; Places</a> and&nbsp;<a href="/objects">💡 Objects</a> categories were given more extensive redesigns.&nbsp;

One UI 6.1

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices on 30&nbsp;October 2023, Samsung&#39;s One UI 6.0&nbsp;featured a completely new design style for the majority of the vendor&#39;s emojis.

All smiley, food, and animal emoji designs have been revised in this update, as have the majority of the people emojis.

This is the most significant revision of the vendor&#39;s emoji set since&nbsp;February 2018&#39;s&nbsp;<a href="https://emojipedia.org/samsung/experience-9.0">Experience 9.0</a> update, which introduced a significant number of design revisions that were consistent with those used on other platforms.

This update also introduced support for the 2023 <a href="https://emojipedia.org/emoji-15.1">Emoji 15.1</a> recommendation list.

One UI 6.0

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices from October 2022, Samsung&#39;s One UI 5.0 provided support for both&nbsp;2021&#39;s <a href="/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a> and 2022&#39;s <a href="https://emojipedia.org/emoji-15.0/">Emoji 15.0</a>&nbsp;recommendations.

Prior to the release of One UI 5.0, many Samsung users may have seen support for <a href="/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a>&nbsp;emojis provided via <a href="/google/">Google&#39;s emoji design set</a>. This was due to Google&#39;s expansion of&nbsp;<a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/faster-emoji-updates-on-the-way-for-android-apps/">Android AppCompat</a>&nbsp;in 2021.

A select number of users also reported seeing <a href="/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a>&nbsp;designs in Samsung&#39;s emoji font when updating to One UI 4.1.1 in September 2022.

One UI 5.0

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices from&nbsp;mid-January 2022, this small emoji updated changed the design of Samsung&#39;s&nbsp;<a href="/sparkles/">✨ Sparkles</a> emoji to be more consistent&nbsp;with those of other emoji vendors.

Additional devices received this emoji update alongside Samsung&#39;s&nbsp;One UI 4.1 update, which was made widely available in March 2022 after initially debuting with the Galaxy S22 series of devices a month earlier.

One UI 4.0 January 2022

Beginning its rollout on&nbsp;2021-11-15 for Samsung&#39;s Galaxy S21 series of mobile devices,&nbsp;Samsung One UI 4.0&nbsp;added support for <a href="/emoji-13.1/">Emoji 13.1</a>.

Beginning its rollout in late July 2021 to select Samsung&rsquo;s Galaxy Z devices, One UI 3.1.1 updated a small number of existing emoji designs.

Select devices running Samsung One UI 3.1 were also given this emoji update&nbsp;via a firmware update in August 2021.

Released alongside the Galaxy Note 20 on&nbsp;2020-08-21, Samsung One UI 2.5 added support for <a href="/emoji-13.0/">Emoji 13.0</a>.
