WhatsApp&rsquo;s bookmark is purple. Twitter&rsquo;s design shows a red bookmark in a closed book, similar to previous designs from <a href="/microsoft/windows-10/bookmark/">Microsoft</a>. <a href="/twitter/twemoji-1.0/bookmark/">Twitter</a> and <a href="/google/android-7.0/bookmark/">Google&rsquo;s</a> designs previously featured a blue bookmark.

Most platforms indicate text with dark lines. Apple&rsquo;s design features an easter egg, addressed Dear Katie and signed Take care from <a href="https://www.mactrast.com/2017/05/who-exactly-is-john-appleseed/">John Appleseed</a> with the text of its 1997&ndash;2002 <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Think_different">Crazy Ones/Think Different</a> ad campaign:

Skype has a series of emoji-like emoticons which have their own distinct animated appearance.

The Skype emoticon set differs from the emoji set from parent company Microsoft, which is used as&nbsp;<a href="/microsoft/">the system-wide emoji font in&nbsp;Windows 10</a>.

Skype uses its own system of shortcodes to enter each emoticon, for instance:

For example, Skype&#39;s offers&nbsp;variety of additional pride-related flags alongside <a href="/pride/">🏳️&zwj;🌈 Pride</a>&nbsp;and <a href="/transgender-flag/">🏳️&zwj;⚧️&nbsp;Transgender Flag</a>, such as those shown below.
