A test tube, as used to conduct chemical experiments in a laboratory. Depicted as a clear cylinder, open at one end and containing a green liquid. Positioned at a 45° angle.

May be used for various content concerning chemistry and science more generally. May also represent other liquids, such as potions or medicines, as well metaphorical laboratories and experiments.

Some platforms include volume markings or display the liquid as bubbling. WhatsApp’s design features a blue liquid.

Test Tube was approved as part of Unicode 11.0 in 2018 and added to Emoji 11.0 in 2018.
