A symbol commonly used to represent those in the transgender community. Used within the draft emoji sequence for the Transgender Flag emoji, and also given emoji presentation on Samsung devices.

Shows as a plain text character on other platforms.

Transgender Symbol was approved as part of Unicode 4.1 in 2005 under the name “Male with Stroke and Male and Female Sign” and added to Emoji 13.0 in 2020.
