蜗牛

A lobster, a large crustacean with a prominent tail and pincers. Depicted as a reddish-orange lobster (as cooked) from above, with a long body and tail, short, tentacle-like eyes, and ten legs, the top of which are very large pincers.

Often used to represent lobster as food as well as in connection to the US state of Maine.

In its release year of 2018, Emojipedia&rsquo;s original sample image was criticized as anatomically incorrect but was shortly after <a href="http://blog.emojipedia.org/skateboard-dna-and-lobster-updated/">resolved</a>. That year, the transgender community <a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/trans-activists-lobster-emoji-flag-charlie-craggs-unicode-nail-it-a8474476.html">embraced</a> the lobster as a symbol for their efforts for <a href="/zh/%E8%B7%A8%E6%80%A7%E5%88%AB%E6%97%97/">Transgender Flag</a>&nbsp;emoji.

Samsung, WhatsApp, and Facebook&rsquo;s lobsters are depicted at an angle.

龙虾

A crab, a squat crustacean with pincers. Depicted as a reddish-orange crab (as cooked) shown from above, with a round, shelled body, shorted, tentacle-like eyes, and ten legs, the top two of which are large pincers.

May be used to represent crab as food or metaphorical senses of crab (e.g., crabby). Often used to represent <a href="/zh/%E5%B7%A8%E8%9F%B9%E5%BA%A7/">♋ Cancer</a>, the Crab, in the Western zodiac.

A shrimp (prawn), a small crustacean with a long tail. Generally depicted as a reddish-orange shrimp (as cooked) in full profile facing left, with tiny eyes, many limbs, and its long antennae curling back as its long tail curls in.

May be consumed in the form of <a href="/zh/%E5%A4%A9%E5%A6%87%E7%BD%97/">🍤 Fried Shrimp</a> or <a href="/zh/%E8%A3%85%E6%9C%89%E9%A3%9F%E7%89%A9%E7%9A%84%E6%B5%85%E5%BA%95%E9%94%85/">🥘 Shallow Pan of Food</a>. Often used to represent seafood.

The antennae of Apple&rsquo;s shrimp curls under its body. The body of Facebook&rsquo;s shrimp is straight. <a href="/zh/google/android-7.0/%E8%99%BE/">Google</a> and <a href="/zh/samsung/experience-9.0/%E8%99%BE/">Samsung&rsquo;s</a> shrimp previously faced right.

A squid, an octopus-like sea animal with ten arms. Generally depicted as a pinkish-orange <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_squid">giant squid</a>, facing forward or angled to the left, with a slender, arrow-like body, small eyes, and two, long arms raised up at its sides. Platforms generally depict six arms.

Occasionally used to represent squid as a food item. Not to be confused with <a href="/zh/%E7%AB%A0%E9%B1%BC/">🐙 Octopus</a>, though their applications may overlap.

Microsoft, WhatsApp&nbsp;and Twitter&rsquo;s squid designs&nbsp;are facing forward, as was a previous <a href="/zh/google/android-8.0/%E4%B9%8C%E8%B4%BC/">Google</a>&nbsp;design. Samsung&rsquo;s squid was <a href="/zh/samsung/experience-9.0/%E4%B9%8C%E8%B4%BC/">previously</a> gray.

乌贼

A shark, a large, stealthy fish with many teeth. Generally depicted as a gray shark in full profile facing left, as a&nbsp;<a href="/zh/%E6%B5%B7%E8%B1%9A/">tiger</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bull_shark">bull</a>, or <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_white_shark">great white shark</a> hunting in the water. Shown with a white underside and three gills, its pointed nose and teeth-lined mouth curving down to a sharp dorsal fin and long, pointed tail.

Not to be confused with <a href="/zh/%E6%B5%B7%E8%B1%9A/">🐬 Dolphin</a>.

鲨鱼

A slice of Japanese&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narutomaki">narutomaki</a>, a ridged fishcake of processed whitefish with an iconic pink&nbsp;<a href="/zh/%E5%8F%B0%E9%A3%8E/">swirl</a>, often served in <a href="/zh/%E9%9D%A2%E6%9D%A1/">ramen</a> or <a href="/zh/%E5%85%B3%E4%B8%9C%E7%85%AE/">oden</a>. Thanks to its distinct swirl, may be used for flair.

鱼板

A turtle, a slow-moving reptile with a shell. Depicted as a light-green turtle in full profile on all fours facing left, with a long neck and green, textured shell.

May be used to represent a tortoise and various senses of slow.

WhatsApp&rsquo;s turtle has light-brown skin,&nbsp;Facebook&rsquo;s a yellow-rimmed shell.

A tall, folded, paper carton, usually white, as used for takeout/takeaway&nbsp;food at Western Chinese restaurants. Most platforms depict&nbsp;<a href="/zh/%E7%AD%B7%E5%AD%90/" title="🥢 Chopsticks">chopsticks&nbsp;</a>inside its open lid, labeled with a red, multi-tiered, traditional Chinese building.&nbsp;Also called an&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oyster_pail">oyster pail</a>.

外卖盒

A friendly, cartoon-styled whale, shown spouting water from its blowhole. Generally depicted as a light-blue whale in full profile facing left, with a round body and white underside, its tail held upright.

Often used with an affectionate tone. Not to be confused with the more lifelike <a href="/zh/%E9%B2%B8%E9%B1%BC/">🐋 Whale</a>, though their applications may overlap.

WhatsApp&rsquo;s whale is gray, as <a href="/zh/microsoft/windows-10/%E5%96%B7%E6%B0%B4%E7%9A%84%E9%B2%B8/">Microsoft</a> and <a href="/zh/facebook/1.0/%E5%96%B7%E6%B0%B4%E7%9A%84%E9%B2%B8/">Facebook&rsquo;s</a> whales previously were. <a href="/zh/twitter/twemoji-1.0/%E5%96%B7%E6%B0%B4%E7%9A%84%E9%B2%B8/">Twitter&rsquo;s</a> whale was previously purple.

A seashell, as found at the <a href="/zh/%E6%B2%99%E6%BB%A9%E4%BC%9E/">beach</a>. Generally depicted as an empty, spiraling, white seashell, as grown by a sea <a href="/zh/%E8%9C%97%E7%89%9B/">snail</a> or home to a hermit crab. Positioned at various angles across platforms.

Often used for various content concerning beaches, ocean and ocean life, and summer fun.

Apple&rsquo;s design <a href="/zh/apple/ios-4.0/%E6%B5%B7%E8%9E%BA/">previously</a> resembled a clam shell, <a href="/zh/microsoft/windows-10/%E6%B5%B7%E8%9E%BA/">Microsoft&rsquo;s</a> a snail shell. <a href="/zh/google/android-7.0/%E6%B5%B7%E8%9E%BA/">Google&rsquo;s</a> was previously blue.

海螺

A human brain, shown in pink on most platforms. Used to indicate thinking or the human mind.

On platforms such as TikTok an alternative&nbsp;meaning of this emoji is to represent &#39;giving head&#39; (<a href="/zh/nsfw/">NSFW meanings</a>).

The flag for Cook Islands, which may show as the letters&nbsp;CK&nbsp;on some platforms.

iOS 14.6

New emojis from Apple for 2021 available as part of&nbsp;iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5, tvOS 14.5, watchOS 7.4, and macOS 11.3.

A minor update which fixed a bug where <a href="/zh/apple/ios-13.3/%E6%89%8B%E6%8B%89%E6%89%8B%E7%9A%84%E4%B8%A4%E4%B8%AA%E7%94%B7%E4%BA%BA-%E4%B8%AD%E7%AD%89%E8%82%A4%E8%89%B2-%E4%B8%AD%E7%AD%89-%E6%B7%B1%E8%82%A4%E8%89%B2/">one variation of men holding hands</a>&nbsp;previously showed <a href="/zh/apple/ios-13.2/%E6%89%8B%E6%8B%89%E6%89%8B%E7%9A%84%E4%B8%A4%E4%B8%AA%E7%94%B7%E4%BA%BA-%E4%B8%AD%E7%AD%89%E8%82%A4%E8%89%B2-%E4%B8%AD%E7%AD%89-%E6%B7%B1%E8%82%A4%E8%89%B2/">an incorrect set of skin tones</a>. This change applies to iOS 13.3, iPadOS 13.3 and macOS 10.15.2.

iOS 13.2

iOS 5.1&nbsp;was released in March 2012 and was the first version of Apple&#39;s emoji font to use cross-platform compatible emoji codepoints from the&nbsp;Unicode Standard.&nbsp;Previous releases of iOS supported emoji characters in the private use area of Unicode.

Support for a number of new emojis was available in this release, but not these new emojis were not displayed&nbsp;on the iOS emoji keyboard. As such, widespread use of emojis from <a href="/zh/unicode-6.0/">Unicode 6.0</a> was not achieved until the release of <a href="/zh/apple/ios-6.0/">iOS 6.0</a>&nbsp;later in 2012.

Emojis in this release were also supported in Mac OS X 10.7.4 and above.
