From early 2021, Android 11 began rollout out for LG Velvet devices in select regions.

Alongside Android 11 came the first update LG&#39;s emoji set <a href="/lg/g5/">since early 2016</a>, which reintroduced the vendor&rsquo;s own emoji set to eligible devices. From 2017 until this update, LG devices used the <a href="/google/">stock Android emoji set</a> from Google.

This update introduced emojis from 2016&#39;s <a href="/people/">Emoji 3.0</a>&nbsp;up to 2019&rsquo;s <a href="/emoji-12.0/">Emoji 12.0</a> to the LG emoji set. It also revised many emoji designs within the <a href="/people/">😃 Smileys &amp; People</a> category.

Velvet

A form of public transport on rails, usually found on streets in cities or other urban areas. For short or medium-length journeys.
<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tram">Trams</a> tend to be similar to <a title="🚈 Light Rail" href="/light-rail/">light rail</a>, with the difference being that they don’t tend to have their own dedicated tracks.
This emoji is generally shown as the front of the tram, on tracks. The intended usage of this emoji, instead of the <a title="🚋 Tram Car" href="/tram-car/">tram car</a> emoji is not clear.
