A minor release that added emojis for&nbsp;<a href="/superhero/">superhero</a> and <a href="/supervillain/">supervillain</a> at a draft stage, prior to these gaining human appearance and skin tone support.

These original sample images are &copy; 2017 Emojipedia.

An update that includes examples of&nbsp;subdivision flags including US States and Liberian Counties. A sample placeholder flag is also included for Northern Ireland.

At the time of release, these flags were not considered <a href="/glossary/#rgi">RGI</a>&nbsp;and as such as not available on most platforms.
