HTC devices use their own emoji images, which are separate from the flat-color Google emojis. These emoji images appear on devices such as the HTC 10 and HTC U11.

As of 2016, only a subset of emojis are supported by HTC. Non-smiley emojis show on HTC devices using the Noto Color Emoji font from Google.
