As of late 2021&#39;s <a href="/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a> recommendations, this emoji design has multiple <a href="/emoji-modifier-sequence/">skin tone modifier</a> options. A person with arms above their head, making an &lsquo;OK&rsquo; sign (circle) with the whole body. No gender is specified.

Previously displayed as <a href="/google/android-4.3/person-gesturing-ok/">an alien</a> or <a href="/google/android-4.4/person-gesturing-ok/">blob</a> on Android,&nbsp;<a href="/microsoft/windows-10/person-gesturing-ok/">a man on Windows</a>, and <a href="/apple/ios-10.2/person-gesturing-ok/">a woman</a> on most <a href="/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/person-gesturing-ok/">other platforms</a>.

A circular symbol, commonly used as a&nbsp;representation of peace. Alternatives include the <a href="/victory-hand/" title=" ✌️ Victory Hand">Victory Hand</a>, or the <a href="/dove/" title=" 🕊 Dove of Peace">Dove of Peace</a>.

Peace Symbol

Two hands placed firmly together, meaning please&nbsp;or&nbsp;thank you&nbsp;in Japanese culture.&nbsp;A common alternative use&nbsp;for this emoji is for prayer, using the same gesture as&nbsp;praying hands. It can also represent&nbsp;a respectful greeting or show of adoration many in Southeast Asian religions and cultures, such as the Hindu namaste or Buddhist a&ntilde;jali mudra.

Clinking Beer Mugs

Most commonly known as a ✌️&nbsp;Peace Sign, but traditionally called&nbsp;as a Victory Hand.&nbsp;Two&nbsp;fingers held up on one hand making a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_sign">V sign</a>.

The reverse of this symbol is considered an offence gesture in <a href="/flag-united-kingdom/" title="🇬🇧 Flag For United Kingdom">British</a> culture, similar to giving the <a href="/middle-finger/" title="🖕 Reversed Hand With Middle Finger Extended">middle finger</a>.

Victory Hand

A person bowing deeply which is known as&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dogeza" target="_blank" title="Dogeza on Wikipedia">dogeza</a> in Japan. Used to express a sincere apology,&nbsp;or to request a large favour.

Many variations of this&nbsp;emoji are misinterpreted as a person doing push-ups, lying down to have&nbsp;a massage, or doing a cute &quot;head resting on hands&quot; gesture.

Person Bowing Deeply

A hand waving most commonly used to say &ldquo;hello&rdquo; or &ldquo;goodbye&rdquo;.

This emoji can be used to convey a sense of <a href="https://youtu.be/ukJmB4rLNKA?t=2m">not being friends any more</a>&nbsp;when used on WeChat in China.

Waving Hand Sign

Samsung&rsquo;s design suggests two glasses of white wine. Some platforms include stylized links to mark the clinking. Occasionally used to represent school/office supplies or metaphorical connections. Also sometimes used as an icon before a <a href="/link/">hyperlink</a>.

Linked Paperclips

Two links of a silver <a href="/chains/">chain</a>, positioned at a 45&deg; angle. Used as an icon for a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperlink">hyperlink</a> on computers and the internet. May also be used for metaphorical connections.
