Released in August 1990, the NEC PI-ET1 was a personal digital assistant (PDA; also known as an "organizer" or “pocket PC”) that contained a set of 132 emoji designs.

These designs were 16x16 pixels in size, and have been re-created for display by @gingerbeardman. Learn more about this emoji set.

Note: Each emoji in this set has been mapped to its modern Unicode codepoint, despite this set existing before Unicode emoji standardization. Additionally, several emojis from this set do not have a modern Unicode equivalent.
