As with the other color-based hearts, this emoji is often also used to express an affinity with or appreciation for various people, places, groups, objects, or ideas associated with the same color. For example, this emoji is frequently used on Twitter/X in reference to the Korean boy band&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BTS">Bangtan Sonyeondan</a>, more commonly known as BTS.

Purple Heart

An opened, dry umbrella. Generally depicted with purple fabric and a hooked handle.

Commonly used for various content concerning rainy weather. Occasionally used as a purple accent color.

Not to be confused with <a href="/umbrella-with-rain-drops/">☔ Umbrella With Rain Drops</a> or <a href="/closed-umbrella/">🌂 Closed Umbrella</a>, though their applications may overlap.

WhatsApp&rsquo;s umbrella is green. Google&rsquo;s umbrella was <a href="/google/android-7.0/umbrella/">previously</a> blue, <a href="/microsoft/windows-10/umbrella/">Microsoft</a> and <a href="/samsung/experience-9.0/umbrella/">Samsung&rsquo;s</a>&nbsp;once red.
