Squared Up with Exclamation Mark

A radio button user interface element, used in form fields with two or more choices. Differs from a <a href="/check-box-with-check/" title="☑️ Ballot Box With Check">checkbox</a>, in that only one response can be selected.

This emoji generally shows the on/enabled state for the radio button, with a smaller circle inside a larger outer circle.

In certain contexts, the use of the Thumbs Up emoji can be construed as being passive aggressive or sarcastic. Despite this possible use, it&nbsp;remains a popular means of quickly and earnestly expressing approval.

Thumbs Up Sign

A single finger pointing upward,&nbsp;which could be used to represent the number one, or to&nbsp;ask a question.

Since 2020 this emoji has been prominently associated with professional wrestler <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Reigns">Roman Reigns</a> and his &quot;Bloodline&quot; stable,&nbsp;symbolizing their &quot;We The Ones&quot; catchphrase.

A vertical&nbsp;line with arrowheads on&nbsp;both ends, pointing up&nbsp;and down.

Up Down Arrow

A newspaper rolled up and bound, as for delivery to a house. Generally positioned at a 45&deg; angle. Commonly used for various content concerning news, media, and journalism&nbsp;as well as personal news.

Rolled-Up Newspaper

A white piece of paper, its top right corner curled or dog-eared, with text printed on it, as a business letter or icon for a document on a computer. Commonly used for content concerning various types of documents and writing.

Most platforms indicate text with dark lines. Apple&rsquo;s design features an easter egg, addressed Dear Katie and signed Take care from <a href="https://www.mactrast.com/2017/05/who-exactly-is-john-appleseed/">John Appleseed</a> with the text of its 1997&ndash;2002 <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Think_different">Crazy Ones/</a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Think_different">Think Different</a> ad campaign:

May also be used to represent an open book in American Sign Language (ASL), or the gesture used by&nbsp;followers&nbsp;of Islam when&nbsp;praying.

Palm Up Hand

A mouse, as used to control a cursor on a <a href="/desktop-computer/">computer</a>. Generally depicted as a white or gray, cordless device with a scroll wheel between left- and right-click buttons.

Used for various content concerning computers, including gaming and various senses of click (e.g., clickbait).

Apple&rsquo;s design resembles the company&rsquo;s <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_Mouse">Magic Mouse</a>, with a single button. Google&rsquo;s mouse <a href="/computer-mouse/">previously</a> had&nbsp;a cord.
