Emoji Meaning
A shamrock, a clover-like plant. Depicted as a bright green sprig with three, heart-shaped leaves.
An emblem of Ireland and symbol of St. Patrick, said to use the shamrock to explain the Christian concept of the Holy Trinity. Commonly used on St. Patrick’s Day and in association with Irish culture and heritage.
Not to be confused with 🍀 Four Leaf Clover, though their applications may overlap.
Shamrock was approved as part of Unicode 4.1 in 2005 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
