A goat, a sturdy,&nbsp;hoofed animal raised for its meat and milk. Depicted as a light brown, white, or multicored goat in full profile on all fours facing left, a scraggly beard,&nbsp;upright tail,&nbsp;and brown or yellow horns curving back.

Frequently used as a visual shorthand for the slang expression <a href="https://www.dictionary.com/e/slang/g-o-a-t/">GOAT</a>, or the Great of All Time, often said of athletes and in particular&nbsp;the late&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobe_Bryant">Kobe Bryant</a>.

<a href="/apple/ios-6.0/goat/">Apple</a>, <a href="/google/android-7.0/goat/">Google</a>, and <a href="/samsung/experience-9.0/goat/">Samsung&rsquo;s</a> goats were previously white, as a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saanen_goat">Saanen goat</a>. Facebook&rsquo;s design previously featured only a goat face.

Appears&nbsp;as a motif in&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosette_(design)">ancient cultures</a>. Generally depicted as a circular, yellow-and-orange flower.

Commonly used for <a href="/valentines-day/">Valentine&rsquo;s Day</a>, <a href="/mothers-day/">Mother&rsquo;s Day</a>, and other special occasions. May be more generally used to express such ideas as love, happiness, and beauty.&nbsp;Also used as a yellow accent color.

Not to be confused with <a href="/blossom/">🌼 Blossom</a>, though their applications may overlap.

WhatsApp&#39;s rosette is orange, white, and purple; Twitter&#39;s is purple and blue. Samsung&#39;s was <a href="/samsung/experience-9.0/rosette/">previously</a> pink. A non-emoji Unicode character&nbsp;<a href="/black-rosette/">🏶&nbsp;Black Rosette</a> was once shown as an emoji on LG phones.

The Skype emoticon set differs from the emoji set from parent company Microsoft, which is used as&nbsp;<a href="/microsoft/">the system-wide emoji font in&nbsp;Windows 10</a>.

Skype uses its own system of shortcodes to enter each emoticon, for instance:

These shortcodes are replaced by the emoticon within Skype. If using a Unicode-compatible emoji code point, this will be given the system-wide emoji appearance:&nbsp;<a href="/microsoft/">Microsoft</a> set on Skype for Windows, <a href="/apple/">Apple</a> set on Skype for macOS or iOS, <a href="/samsung/">Samsung</a> set on phones using&nbsp;OneUI.

The majority of&nbsp;Skype Emoticons have&nbsp;equivalents in the Unicode Standard, while a number of emoticons go beyond what is offered by the standardized emoji set. For example, Skype&#39;s offers&nbsp;variety of additional pride-related flags alongside <a href="/pride/">🏳️&zwj;🌈 Pride</a>&nbsp;and <a href="/transgender-flag/">🏳️&zwj;⚧️&nbsp;Transgender Flag</a>, such as those shown below.
