Often used with an affectionate tone and in association with <a href="/flag-china/">China</a>, where the animal is found. Sometimes&nbsp;used to represent a red panda. Does not have a full-bodied panda emoji counterpart.

Panda Face

A series of three Zs making a Zzz. Represents sleeping, snoring, dreaming, or any sleep-related state. Can also be used in some contexts to represent something that is&nbsp;boring.

Sleeping Symbol

Leaves, as fluttering in a spring or summer breeze. Depicted as one or two green, almond-shaped leaves, with gray or blue motion lines, as if swirling in the air or as the wind blowing through the trees.

May be used to represent the season of <a href="/fall-autumn/">fall/autumn</a>, trees, and nature more generally.

An evergreen tree, which keeps green leaves all year round. Depicted as a tall, dark green, cone-shaped tree with shaggy, layered leaves, as a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pine">pine</a>&nbsp;or <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fir">fir</a>, showing a brown trunk.

May be decorated in the form of a <a href="/christmas-tree/">🎄 Christmas Tree</a>. May also be used to represent various types of trees, forests, northern climates, nature, winter, and the <a href="/christmas/">Christmas season</a>.

Evergreen Tree

The flag for <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia">Australia</a>, which may show as the letters AU on some platforms.

A spider, an eight-legged <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arachnid">arachnid</a> that spins a web. Depicted as a common black spider, as a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_house_spider">house&nbsp;spider</a>&nbsp;or <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_funnel-web_spider">funnel-web spider</a>, often shown from above with its large abdomen oriented at the bottom.

A kangaroo, a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marsupial">marsupial</a> with a large tail and legs. Depicted in yellowish-brown in full profile facing left with large, pointed ears, shown either resting on its hind legs and tail or jumping.

Kangaroo

A classic teddy bear, as snuggled by a <a href="/child/">child</a>&nbsp;when going to sleep.

Depicted as a brown, stuffed toy bear, shown seated with its arms to the sides, hind paw pads facing forward, and a friendly smile on its face. Google, WhatsApp, and Twitter&#39;s&nbsp;designs include a <a href="/ribbon/">ribbon</a> around the&nbsp;neck, while Facebook&#39;s is wearing a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bow_tie">bow tie</a>.

Commonly used to convey something or someone is cute or cuddly (e.g., teddy bear as a term of endearment) as well as other warm, loving sentiments (e.g., get well soon). May also be used for various content concerning toys and children more generally.

Teddy Bear

A friendly, cartoon-styled face of a dog, looking straight ahead. Depicted as the face of a dog of various breeds, generally light-brown and white, with pointed or floppy ears and its tongue hanging out.

May be used with a more playful tone than the full-bodied <a href="/dog/">🐕 Dog</a>, though their applications generally overlap. See also <a href="/poodle/">🐩 Poodle</a>.

One of the 12 animals of the <a href="/chinese-new-year/">Chinese zodiac</a>. Available as an Apple&nbsp;<a href="/animoji/">Animoji</a>.

Many vendors implement the same or similar dog as their full-bodied <a href="/dog/">🐕 Dog</a>, such as Google and Facebook. Apple&nbsp;and WhatsApp&rsquo;s dogs have a white face with brown, floppy ears and a brown patch over one eye.

Included in the earliest Japanese emoji sets from <a href="/softbank/1997/dog-face/">Softbank</a>, <a href="/docomo/1999/dog-face/">Docomo</a>, and <a href="/au-kddi/type-a-2/dog-face/">au by KDDI</a>.

Dog Face
