Microsoft&rsquo;s palm tree bears <a href="/coconut/">coconuts</a>, as Samsung&rsquo;s <a href="/samsung/experience-9.0/palm-tree/">previously</a> did. <a href="/apple/ios-9.1/palm-tree/">Apple&rsquo;s</a> palm tree previously had more erect palms.

A two-piece bikini, worn at the beach, pool, or on vacation at a <a href="/desert-island/" title="🏝 Desert Island">tropical destination</a>.

A tropical fish, as swims in the warm waters of a coral reef or is kept as a pet in an aquarium. Depicted as a brightly colored fish in full profile facing left, with slender fins. Often shown as a blue-and-yellow fish with stripes, as an <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pterophyllum">angelfish</a>.

May be used to represent a variety of fish (saltwater or freshwater), <a href="/fishing-pole/">fishing</a>, metaphorical senses of fish, and fish as food, as consumed in the form of <a href="/sushi/">🍣 Sushi</a>. <a href="/google/android-7.0/tropical-fish/">Google</a> and <a href="/facebook/1.0/tropical-fish/">Facebook&rsquo;s</a> fish previously resembled a goldfish, while&nbsp;<a href="/samsung/experience-9.0/tropical-fish/">Samsung&rsquo;s</a>&nbsp;was black and white.&nbsp;Microsoft&rsquo;s fish was previously&nbsp;<a href="/microsoft/windows-10-anniversary-update/tropical-fish/">orange with white stripes</a>, and&nbsp;<a href="/microsoft/windows-10/tropical-fish/">yellow and blue</a> before that.

Tropical Fish

A Japanese <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kadomatsu">kadomatsu</a>, composed of pine leaves and bamboo shoots. Traditionally placed outside homes in Japan around the New Year to welcome spirits for a plentiful, happy year ahead.

Depicted as three shoots of <a href="/tanabata-tree/">bamboo</a>, arranged vertically at different heights in a wooden container, arrayed with pine leaves.

Often used to represent various plants or as a green accent color.

WhatsApp&rsquo;s kadomatsu is adorned with red berries, as is Facebook&rsquo;s, which also includes pink <a href="/cherry-blossom/">cherry blossoms</a>.

Served with a straw and fruit garnish. A kiwifruit, or Chinese gooseberry, with its fuzzy, brown skin sliced open to show its light-green flesh, white core, and black seeds.&nbsp;

May be associated with&nbsp;<a href="/flag-new-zealand/">New Zealand</a>, whose residents are nicknamed Kiwis, after the bird.

Kiwifruit

An orange-colored citrus fruit with a green leaf or leaves and stem. Officially depicting a tangerine, a type of mandarin (mikan&nbsp;in Japan). Often used as a garden-variety orange. Either way, a good source of vitamin C.

Tangerine

A mound of shaved ice (snow cone) served in a dessert bowl with a short spoon, flavored with a&nbsp;<a href="/cherries/">cherry-red&nbsp;</a>syrup on many platforms. Associated with&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shave_ice">Hawaiian shave ice</a>&nbsp;or Japanese&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kakigōri">kakigori</a>.

Shaved Ice

A blowfish (<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetraodontidae">puffer</a>), which puffs up and becomes spiky when alarmed. Depicted as an orange or brown blowfish in full profile facing left, with small fins, a white underside, and a round, spiky body, as if inflated.

Called <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fugu">fugu</a> in Japan, where it&rsquo;s consumed as a delicacy.
