Squared OK

A gesture showing the index finger and&nbsp;thumb touching&nbsp;to make an open circle. Represents &ldquo;I&rsquo;m okay&rdquo; or &ldquo;yes, that&rsquo;s correct / good&rdquo;.

In American Sign Language (ASL), the number nine is represented with this gesture. The same hand sign can be seen as offensive in some cultures, including in parts of Europe, the Middle East, and South America.

This can also be used as&nbsp;<a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/no-the-ok-hand-is-not-a-symbol-of-white-power/">a&nbsp;symbol of White Supremacy</a>, depending on context.

Face with OK Gesture

Used as an alternative to a <a title="✔ Heavy Check Mark" href="/check-mark/">check</a> (tick) in Japan for a something that is correct. The opposite of an X (<a title="❌ Cross Mark" href="/cross-mark/">cross mark</a>) for something wrong.

Heavy Large Circle

A <a href="/check-mark/" title="✔️ Heavy Check Mark">check mark</a> that displays with a white outlined appearance. Shows&nbsp;on most platforms with a bright green rounded rectangle or circle surrounding it.

Android <a href="/google/android-4.4/check-mark-button/" title="✅ White Heavy Check Mark on Google Android 4.4">previously</a> displayed this as an outlined blue check mark / blue tick.

This emoji is not supported in Twitter / X names, possibly in an attempt to minimize confusion with a verified checkmark.

The last update to SoftBank&#39;s emoji set was released in 2014 and discontinued in 2016. This release added 277 new characters

A minor update to this set removed regional indicators in 2016, but otherwise delivered no new changes.

An increased resolution and a number of design changes. This was the first release to switch the <a href="/person-tipping-hand/">💁&nbsp;Person Tipping Hand</a> (nee Information Desk Person) from a <a href="/softbank/2001/person-tipping-hand/">Man</a> to a <a href="/softbank/2004/person-tipping-hand/">Woman</a>, and many emojis were redesigned with additional detail.

Changes in this release include an increased pixel count for each emoji, resulting in more detail and smoother curves and gradients.
