The now-discontinued Microsoft&nbsp;<a href="/emoji-zwj-sequence/">ZWJ sequence</a>&nbsp;<a href="/ninja-cat/">🐱&zwj;👤&nbsp;Ninja Cat</a>&nbsp;did not include the&nbsp;ninja&nbsp;emoji at all as it was developed several years before ninja&nbsp;was approved. It combined&nbsp;<a href="/cat-face/">🐱 Cat Face</a> and <a href="/bust-in-silhouette/">👤 Bust in Silhouette</a> and was&nbsp;only available from Microsoft prior to the debut of the Fluent emoji set in November 2021.

Commonly used for various content concerning&nbsp;art, museums, and interior design and decor. May also be used as an icon for a picture, as before an upload, link, or credit.

Microsoft&rsquo;s design <a href="/microsoft/windows-11/framed-picture/">previously</a> showed <a href="/ninja-cat/">Ninja Cat</a>.&nbsp;An&nbsp;earlier Microsoft&nbsp;design&nbsp;<a href="/microsoft/windows-10/framed-picture/">featured</a>&nbsp;the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mona_Lisa">Mona Lisa</a>, as did a previous&nbsp;<a href="/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/framed-picture/">Samsung</a>&nbsp;design. Google&#39;s design <a href="/google/android-8.0/framed-picture/">previously</a> displayed&nbsp;the scene depicted in its&nbsp;<a href="/national-park/">🏞️ National Park</a>&nbsp;emoji.

The logo for <a href="https://twitter.com">Twitter</a> is a Private Use Area (PUA) character that is supported on the Twitter website and apps, as of August 2021. Inserting this character displays a <a href="https://twitter.com/Emojipedia/status/1425877280111353856">silhouette of Twitter&#39;s bird logo</a>.

Typing [CHIRPBIRDICON] also displays this&nbsp;logo within text on the Twitter website, without using a distinct PUA code point.

Like the <a href="/apple-logo/">Apple logo</a>, this character is not recommended for interchange&nbsp;as it is only intended for&nbsp;support&nbsp;on Twitter platforms.

Ninja Cat

Used across Microsoft PCs. Windows 11 uses the Fluent set. Windows 10&rsquo;s final update was in May 2019.

Emojis from Microsoft are&nbsp;supported on PCs and tablets&nbsp;running Windows 11, Windows 10, as well as Xbox. There were also available on Windows phones prior to them being&nbsp;discontinued. These are provided by the Segoe UI Emoji font, although some applications continue to show black and white emojis from an earlier release.

As of the <a href="/microsoft/windows-11-november-2021-update/">Windows 11&nbsp;November 2021 </a>update, the platform includes the <a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/new-fluent-emoji-designs-from-microsoft/">new Fluent emoji design set</a>&nbsp;that was first previewed ahead of 2021&#39;s <a href="/world-emoji-day/">World Emoji Day</a>. Windows 10&#39;s last emoji update was the&nbsp;<a href="/microsoft/windows-10-may-2019-update/">May 2019 Update</a>, which supported emoji from up to early 2019&#39;s&nbsp;<a href="/emoji-12.0/">Emoji 12.0</a>.

Microsoft Windows 11&nbsp;launched&nbsp;on 2021-10-05, and was the first version of Windows update to support&nbsp;<a href="/emoji-12.1/">Emoji 12.1</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="/emoji-13.0/">Emoji 13.0</a>. Windows 10 Anniversary Update (version&nbsp;1607), aka &quot;Emojiversary Update&quot;&nbsp;was <a href="https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2016/06/29/windows-10-anniversary-update-available-august-2/">released</a> on August 2, 2016 and&nbsp;included&nbsp;a complete redesign of every emoji in the Segoe UI Emoji font.
