iOS 16.4

New emojis from Apple for 2022&nbsp;available as part of&nbsp;iOS 15.4, iPadOS 15.4, tvOS 15.4, watchOS 8.5, and macOS 12.3.

Released on 14&nbsp;March 2022, this was the first version of iOS to support the 112 new emojis in&nbsp;<a href="/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a>, including various multiple skin tone versions of the <a href="/handshake/">🤝 Handshake</a> emoji.

This Apple emoji update changed the appearance of the <a href="/face-with-hand-over-mouth/">🤭&nbsp;Face with Hand Over Mouth</a>&nbsp;emoji to be more consistent with the designs of other vendors, with this emoji&#39;s originaly design being given to the new <a href="/emoji-14.0/">🫢 Face with Open Eyes and Hand Over Mouth</a>&nbsp;emoji.

Taking into account a series of additional&nbsp;<a href="/glossary/#non-rgi">non-RGI</a>&nbsp;<a href="/handshake/">🤝 Handshake</a> emoji sequences, there are 123 new emojis in this release.

iOS 15.4

Released on 2021-05-24, this update changed the appearance&nbsp;of the various&nbsp;<a href="/person-climbing/">🧗 Person Climbing</a> emojis to have the person wearing a safety helmet.

iOS 14.6

New emojis from Apple for 2021 available as part of&nbsp;iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5, tvOS 14.5, watchOS 7.4, and macOS 11.3.

This Apple emoji update changed the appearance of the&nbsp;<a href="/syringe/">💉&nbsp;Syringe</a>&nbsp;emoji&nbsp;to remove the blood, and added mixed skin tone support to&nbsp;<a href="/kiss/">💏&nbsp;Kiss</a> and <a href="/couple-with-heart/">💑&nbsp;Couple with Heart</a>.

Released on 26&nbsp;April 2021, this was the first version of iOS to support the 217 new emojis in&nbsp;<a href="/emoji-13.1/">Emoji 13.1</a>. Taking into account <a href="/glossary/#non-rgi">non-RGI</a> emoji sequences, there&nbsp;there are 669 new emojis in this release.

iOS 14.5

The mark left after a firm kiss is placed with bright lipstick. Used in place of &lsquo;xxx&rsquo; (kisses), or to send a kiss to someone. More seductive than the <a href="/kiss/" title="💏 Kiss">kiss</a>&nbsp;emoji.

Kiss Mark

A yellow face with simple, open eyes and puckered lips giving a kiss. Commonly conveys sentiments of love and affection.

Like <a href="/kissing-face-with-smiling-eyes/" title="😙 Kissing Face With Smiling Eyes">😙 Kissing Face With Smiling Eyes</a>, this emoji is sometimes taken to represent whistling, especially when paired with a <a href="/musical-note/">musical note</a>. May convey such feelings as surprise, admiration, contempt, or feigned innocence, as a person casually whistling after wrongdoing saying,&nbsp;Nothing to look at here.

Similar to <a href="/kissing-face-with-smiling-eyes/" title="😙 Kissing Face With Smiling Eyes">😙 Kissing Face With Smiling Eyes</a> and <a href="/kissing-face-with-closed-eyes/">😚&nbsp;Kissing Face With Closed Eyes</a> but with less intimate eyes.

Kissing Face

A yellow face winking with puckered lips blowing a kiss, depicted&nbsp;as a small, <a href="/red-heart/">red heart</a>. May represent&nbsp;a kiss goodbye or good night and convey feelings of love and affection more generally.&nbsp;

Many platforms feature the same eyes as on their <a href="/winking-face/">😉&nbsp;Winking Face</a>.

Microsoft&rsquo;s design <a href="/microsoft/windows-10/face-blowing-a-kiss/">previously featured</a> a feminine smiley with long eyelashes and red <a href="/lipstick/">lipstick</a>, which could leave a <a href="/kiss-mark/">kiss mark</a>.

A golden ball, split in two halves in a shower of multicolored confetti and streamers.

Like <a href="/party-popper/">🎉 Party Popper</a>, commonly used to convey congratulations and celebration, as on <a href="/new-years-eve/">New Year&rsquo;s Eve</a>, <a href="/birthday/">birthdays</a>, <a href="/wedding-marriage/">wedding days</a>, <a href="/graduation/">graduations</a>, and other special occasions or good times more generally.

Its design across platforms&mdash;and&nbsp;inclusion in <a href="/au-kddi/type-c-2/confetti-ball/">early sets from au by KDDI</a>&mdash;suggest&nbsp;the emoji is a Japanese <a href="https://jisho.org/search/kusudama">kusudama</a>, a decorative ball used at such festive occasions as opening ceremonies.
