Commonly used for emphasis and flair or to indicate various positive sentiments. Like <a href="/shooting-star/">🌠 Shooting Star</a>, sometimes used as a visual reference to NBC&rsquo;s <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_More_You_Know">More You Know</a> public service announcement, popular in the 1990s and featuring a&nbsp;shooting star logo.

Not to be confused with <a href="/star/">⭐ Star</a>, <a href="/glowing-star/">🌟 Glowing Star</a>, and <a href="/sparkles/">✨ Sparkles</a>, though their applications may overlap.

Facebook&rsquo;s design features two stars spinning along two intersecting purple circles, though it <a href="/facebook/2.0/dizzy/">previously</a> only featured one&nbsp;yellow ring. <a href="/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/dizzy/">Samsung&rsquo;s</a> design previously displayed several yellow circles and stars.

Dizzy Symbol

A face with spiral-shaped eyes, commonly used to indicate dizziness, but may also represent hypnosis or other forms of disorientation.

Created in <a href="/emoji-13.1">2020</a> disambiguate from the <a href="/dizzy-face">😵 Face with Crossed-Out Eyes</a> emoji which previously displayed spiral eyes on <a href="/microsoft/windows-10-may-2019-update/dizzy-face/">some</a> <a href="/google/android-8.0/dizzy-face/">platforms</a>, but X eyes on others.&nbsp;This emoji will consistently show spiral eyes on all platforms.

Meaning widely varies, but commonly conveys intoxication or&nbsp;infatuation. Its dazed expression may also represent such feelings or states as bewilderment,&nbsp;irritation, disgust, exhaustion, wackiness, or complete satisfaction.

Face with Uneven Eyes and Wavy Mouth

A yellow face with an open&nbsp;mouth, the top of its head exploding in the shape of a brain-like mushroom cloud. A visual form of the expression mind blown, it&nbsp;may represent such emotions as shock, awe, amazement, and disbelief.

Apple&rsquo;s design features the same expression as its&nbsp;<a href="/frowning-face-with-open-mouth/">😦 Frowning Face With Open Mouth</a>.

Shocked Face with Exploding Head

A yellow face with open eyes, raised eyebrows, and an open mouth, as if gasping in shock or surprise. Often depicted showing its upper teeth.&nbsp;May convey a wide range of emotions, including awe, amazement, admiration, disbelief, excitement, or concern.

Similar to <a href="/hushed-face/">😯&nbsp;Hushed Face</a>, which features smaller eyes and mouth. Several earlier designs, <a href="/apple/ios-6.0/astonished-face/">including Apple&rsquo;s</a>, displayed X-shaped eyes, making the emoji resemble <a href="/dizzy-face/">😵&nbsp;Dizzy Face</a>. Google&rsquo;s design <a href="/google/android-7.0/astonished-face/">previously depicted</a> a wobbly expression, as if <a href="/woozy-face/">inebriated</a>.

Huawei&#39;s design for this emoji includes a&nbsp;<a href="/collision">💥 Collision</a>-like symbol behind its head, emphasising its astonishment.

Astonished Face

A generic bird. Variously depicted as a blue or red bird, as a bluebird or cardinal, shown standing in full profile, or as a bird head.&nbsp;Both designs&nbsp;show the bird facing left.

May be used for a variety of wild and pet birds as well as for metaphorical senses of bird (e.g., <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Par_(score)#Birdie">birdie</a> in <a href="/flag-in-hole/">golf</a>).

Apple and WhatsApp&rsquo;s designs feature a grayish bird head. Google, Samsung, and Facebook&rsquo;s designs suggest a bluebird, Microsoft and Twitter&rsquo;s a cardinal. Google&rsquo;s bird <a href="/google/android-4.4/bird/">previously</a> resembled a canary, <a href="/samsung/experience-9.0/bird/">Samsung&rsquo;s</a> was previously green, and <a href="/microsoft/windows-10/bird/">Microsoft</a> and <a href="/twitter/twemoji-2.0/bird/">Twitter&rsquo;s</a> birds were once blue.
